ABOUT
Bmac has been creating quirky distinctive art for many years. Her works are characterized by colorful portraits of characteristic subjects with an expressive glance, in which the viewer is incited time and again to marvel at the thoughts of the depicted characters. Do they look at you, think deeply about something, are they angry or worried? Regularly, the women depicted have an impressive head of hair or a cleverly tied headcloth that is perfectly captured in particularly clever brushstrokes.
Although the themes used by her are limited, she is still able to capture a surprising perspective again and again. In the applied techniques and use of materials, the structural development as an artist is visible and as a viewer you are always surprised.
BMac can now call herself an internationally recognized artist. Apart from Suriname, her works also hang in the Bahamas, the Netherlands, the Antilles, Guyana, Trinidad and Greece.
